Flexdeck - Galvanized steel support surface for pouring concrete ceilings
The "Flexdeck" form is made of galvanized sheet and serves for pouring concrete for ceilings and walls.
The form is considered part of the bottom reinforcement.
Pouring in the Flexdeck form is suitable for private building and for commercial and industrial buildings.
Description of the form:
"Flexdeck" is a galvanized steel form with an effective width of 300 mm, with edges raised to a height of 62.5 mm.
The form can be manufactured in thicknesses of 0.8, 1, 1.2 m.
The "Flexdeck" form is manufactured by cold rolling, from Z-275 grade galvanized steel.
Cutting of the length is tailored to the customer's requirements and planning and is supplied with precision of +/-10 mm.
Use as work surface
The "Flexdeck" forms, when laid and connected horizontally, also serve as a walking surface, at the time of their laying and with the indices defined in the tables, there is no need to place additional scaffolding.
The "Flexdeck" form surfaces are placed against and adhere to the concrete pouring, by shear connectors formed with the passage of the concrete through the side holes and therefore they serve as reinforcement ribs for the concrete.
Rapid and easy assembly
The form structure allows posing and assembly without auxiliary means and creates a uniform surface that allows quality casting. The forms connect to each other through raised edges that serve as rapid connector. Place the connectors over each other and turn while pressing upwards (see picture).
Attachment of the plates is without screws, nails or other tools. Their attachment is rapid and perfect so that there is almost no flow of concrete between them. The lengthened holes along the sides of the form increase the adhesion of the form to the concrete when it hardens and create uniform casting.
Do not introduce reinforcements in these holes. The reinforcement will be placed on the forms.
Simplicity of assembly

The structure of the Flexdeck is planned for self-load bearing and concrete load bearing and significantly reduces the use of additional supports during the casting.
The result: saving in installation time, manpower and costs.
Finishing and surface suited to ceilings
The straight surface of the "Flexdeck" form allows finishing appropriate for painting, decoration suited for ceilings and saving on plaster.
Suited for suspended ceilings
In structures with suspended ceilings, the "Flexdeck" forms can be produced with loop grips.
Installation of pipes and electricity grid
The pipes and the boxes will be placed on the surface of the plates, attached and secured by tying to the lengthened holes on the sides of the form, as preparation to casting.
Openings can be made in the ceilings by building polyurethane, wood or block boxes, fixing them by tying to the lengthened holes and sawing the Flexdeck form when they are removed after drying of the concrete.
For large openings, it is possible to order "Flexdeck" forms of appropriate length and to save sawing in the field.
Consult the civil engineers before casting in order to check appropriate strength in the openings.
Connection and reinforcement in end support
For concrete frame and support walls a minimum of 50 mm is required for support, with addition of reinforcement iron loops that are passed through the sides of the "Flexdeck".
For purposes of attaching the ceiling, it is possible to use an upper hoop as negative moment reinforcement.
Connection and reinforcement in continuing ceiling
For casting a continuing ceiling, place "Flexdeck" on concrete beams of a length of no less than 25 mm, and add upper reinforcement iron according to calculation.
Continuing perpendicular connection on steel profiles
In continuing connection between "Flexdeck" forms on a steel profile, the Flexdeck forms will be connected through shear connectors, screws or welding.
Connection to end of steel profile
Connection of the Flexdeck form to the end of the profile will be through shear connectors, screws or welding.
Concrete Pouring Method
When pouring the concrete from a pump or other tool, pour it equally to the sides of the supports in order to prevent excess load in the center, which is liable to cause collapse of the sheets.
N.B.: the reinforcement grid is placed on the Flexdeck. Do not introduce reinforcement in the lengthened holes.
